Why invest in Queensland and Real Estate in the Whitsundays?

Queensland's current population of over 4 million enjoy living in a place unlike anywhere else. In the past 15 years, Queensland has become Australia’s fastest growing economy with its reputation as the ‘Smart State.'

The Whitsundays and Airlie Beach is a growing community, and was recently nominated as Australia's third most popular holiday destination in Australia.

The appeal of the Whitsundays is driven by its warm climate all year round, the friendly and relaxed atmosphere, its magnificent islands such as the Hamiltion and Hayman Islands, as well as the world renown Whitehaven Beach.

The region is serviced by daily flights to Proserpine and Hamilton Island, and the state government has also pledged $4 million to upgrade the local airports, catering for the future growth in tourism.

Approximately 700,000 tourists visit the Whitsundays annually.

Mining is a key driver of the Queensland economy and the majority of mining in the state is located in the Bowen Basin, immediately inland from the Whitsundays. The Bowen Basin produces 83% of Queensland's coal production, covers over 60,000km2 and generates more than 100 million tonnes of coal annually.

A further $2 billion investment in infrastructure and development has been identified in the Whitsundays, putting it in an enviable position for future growth.
